Duties

Job holder serves as a monitor for maintenance and repair or construction jobs requiring escort by security cleared employee of contractors or staff without security clearance levels sufficient to work in the premises. The position is full time, the holder is needed some after hours, weekend and holiday work may be required. This position is directly supervised by the Facility Management Assistant and Facility Manager. Must obtain secret security clearance

Qualifications and Evaluations

Experience:

One year of prior U.S. Government experience in an office management or security related position

Job Knowledge:

Must have basic knowledge of how a Mission works, and what offices do what functions.

Must have basic knowledge of pouch preparation and shipping procedures, and recording pouch information.

Must understand basic security regulations to perform escort duties.

Education Requirements:

Mandatory: High School Diploma is required.

Evaluations:

Post may choose to add the phrase “This may be tested” after a language, skill, and/or ability. Review the VA template for specific information.

Language:

English - Level 3 - Fluent; speaking/reading/writing

Skills and Abilities Optional:

Must have excellent interpersonal skills, confidence, and ability to deal effectively with a wide range of contacts; ability to remain calm in stressful situations. basic keyboard skills and computer literacy.

Must be observant, flexible and service oriented.
