Duties
The incumbent is responsible for monitoring the item information, condition, location, and custody of over $21 Million of USG Non-Expendable (NXP) property at Post. Updates ILMS as item data or location changes for all Non-Expendable, Heritage, Representational and Capital assets. Schedules and reconciles residential inventories throughout the year; performs annual inventory at three Official Residences; assists with annual inventory at the Chancery and other Mission locations as required. The position is supervised by the Deputy Property Supervisor.


Qualifications and Evaluations
  • Minimum of (2) two years’ experience working in warehousing, inventory, or property management role is required.

    Evaluations:
  • Level 3 (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing Amharic is required. (This may be tested)

  • Level 3 (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This may be tested)


    Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to set priorities; must be able to closely follow instructions and schedules; must have good organizational skills. Must be capable of performing moderately arduous work, including heavy lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted. Must be able to operate the types of material handling equipment utilized in Embassy warehousing operations.
  • Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of ILMS, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Must have a valid 2nd or Auto Ethiopian driver’s license and be able to operate a manual transmission (stick-shift) vehicle. (This may be tested)

    Benefits and Other Info
  • Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Addis Ababa/Ethiopia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

  • For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

  • The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
