Duties
  • Manages tenants' requests for maintenance and repairs at leased properties.
  • Acts as liaison between tenants, landlords, and embassy sections to resolve a variety build trades related issues.
  • Serves as the building trades subject matter expert within the GSO Housing team.
  • Provides regular status updates to tenants and provides onsite checks to confirm work is completed per the occupants request.
  • Liaises with the landlords on all maintenance and repairs tasks with a focus on making sure that the process is seamless to the tenant.
  • Works with contractors and landlords to ensure work performed by them meets embassy standards.
  • Coordinates escorts for landlords and contractors.
  • Enters access requests in myServices and follows up with all parties (GSO and RSO) until full approval is granted. Serves as a back-up escort as needed.
  • Performs general clerical, administrative, and procurement functions in support of the Housing unit.
  • Provides recommendations to landlords when it comes to where to source residential parts and materials from locally.
  • Assists with drafting correspondence to landlords, tenants, or management.
  • Resolves myServices requests in the system.
  • May be required to perform data entries into the theembassy's housing system RPA.

    Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years relevant work experience in building or construction is required with focus on coordination, monitoring, and quality control and inspection is required.

    Education Requirements:
  • Completion
    of Secondary School (Form VI) is required.
  • One year vocational Training in Building or Construction is required.

    Evaluations:
  • Language: Level III (good working knowledge, speaking, reading and writing) in English and Kiswahili is required. (This may be tested)
  • Must have a valid driving license (B & D) is required.
