Duties
Incumbent performs repairs of light, heavy, and armored gasoline and diesel powered motor vehicles and fork lifts. Examines vehicles to determine how to rehabilitate and rebuild damaged vehicular parts and carries out needed repairs. Responsible for knowing and adhering to shop safety procedures. Supervises the Auto Body Fender worker and Auto Painter.


Qualifications and Evaluations

Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible auto mechanic's experience, mainly in the area of auto body rehabilitation and repairs is required.


Job Knowledge: Excellent skills in diagnosing and repair of all aspects of body work and general welding work.


Education Requirements:
Completion of secondary school with vocational training in Automotive Mechanic work is required.

Evaluations:
This may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.


Language: Good working knowledge in speaking/reading/writing of English is required.


Skills and Abilities:
  • Must possess a valid Nigeria's drivers license to operate light vehicles and trucks.
  • Must have the skills and ability to operate the wrecker and tow vehicles safely.
  • Must be able to use the techniques of welding (electric arc and gas), riveting, metal fabrication, and panel beating.
  • Must have the ability to substitute materials needed to carry out repairs.
  • Must have keyboarding/typing skills for ease of data input and communication. Must be able to utilize the aid of machine for weight lifting above 30 pounds using manufacturers guide on weight lifting. Must know how to use MS Office Suite and other work related software.

  • The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
