University of Nairobi Assistant Research Officer Social Sciences Jobs



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct empirical work including primary data collection (key informant interviews, focus group discussions) with health system policymakers, managers, and frontline providers.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to finalize methodological tools and construct analysis.

  • Assist with management and analysis of data and develop written outputs.

  • Participate in training activities, study workshops, and meetings.

  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

    Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences & Humanities (Anthropology, Sociology, or related field) from a recognized institution.

  • At least 2 years of research experience, including qualitative data collection and analysis (interviews, FGDs, health systems research, stakeholder engagement).

  • Evidence of ability to produce and publish research.

  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft applications.

  • Knowledge of NVivo (qualitative analysis software) an added advantage.
