Introduction

  • The University of Embu (UoEm) was established as a Constituent College of the University of Nairobi via a Legal Notice No. 65 of 17th June, 2011 by His Excellency the President. EUC is the successor of the former Embu Agricultural Staff Training (EAST) College which started in 1947 as an agricultural training school and was later renamed Embu Institute of Agriculture in 1968. In 1990, it was upgraded to be Embu Agricultural Staff Training (EAST) College whose mandate was to develop and implement short management and technical courses, and offer research and consultancy services to enhance performance in the agricultural sector.

    The University of Embu (UoEm) is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following positions

    University of Embu Non-Teaching Vacancies in Kenya

  • Medical Officer
  • Assistant Accountant
  • Assistant Games Officer
  • Motor Vehicle Mechanic

    Qualifications

  • Applicants must be holders of an earned Ph.D degree from a recognized University in the relevant areas of specialty.
  • Have at least five (5) years of university teaching experience, three (3)
    of which as full time Lecturer;
  • Have at least 32 publication points, 24 of which from articles in refereed scholarly journals since being appointed Lecturer;
  • Have successfully supervised to completion at least four (4) Masters Students since being appointed Lecturer;
  • Show evidence of successfully securing at least one (1) research grant
    since being appointed Lecturer;
  • Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops;
  • Show evidence of continued research; and
  • Show evidence of active participation/leadership in departmental and
    university activities.

    University of Embu Lectures Vacancies in Kenya

    Qualifications

  • Applicants must be holders of an earned PhD degree from a recognized University in the relevant area of specialty.
  • Have a Master’s degree in addition to a first degree from a recognized
    University in the relevant field;
  • Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences,seminars or workshops; and
  • Show evidence of continued research.
  • Those who have university teaching experience and have published
    in refereed journals will have an added advantage.

    University of Embu Lectures {Nursing} Vacancies in Kenya

    Qualifications

  • Requirements will be the same as
    for Lecturer above, however;
  • Applicants with Master of Science degree in Nursing in the relevant areas who have three (3) years university teaching experience and have at least 24 publication points, 16 of which from articles in refereed scholarly journals will also be considered.

    Qualifications

  • Applicants must be substantively registered for a PhD degree in the relevant area of specialty and have made some substantive progress.
  • Be holders of a Master’s degree in the relevant area form a recognized University; and
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree of at least second class upper division in the relevant area from a recognized University.
  • Those who have university teaching experience and have published
    in refereed journals will have an added advantage

    University of Embu Medical Officer Vacancies in Kenya

    Qualifications

  • Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor of Medicine degree in Human Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience in a large hospital setting;
  • Be licensed to practice medicine by the Kenya Medical and Dentists Practitioners Board;
  • Have experience in managing a team and building capacity;
  • Be conversant with relevant computer based health management systems;
  • Have knowledge of laws and regulations governing medical practices
    in Kenya.

    Qualifications

  • Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification from a
    recognized University. In addition they must:
  • Have CPA (K) or equivalent professional qualification;
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience in a large organization;
  • Demonstrate experience of working in a computerized accounting environment;
  • Be a person of high integrity and ethical standards and a team player;
  • Be familiar with financial regulations and procedures and ability to enhance internal controls.
