Responsibilities
Serve as product manager for ReliefWeb, providing strategic leadership, defining long‑term roadmap and aligning delivery with organizational priorities and humanitarian user needs.
Develop, implement and evaluate programmes/projects; monitor progress, review reports, identify issues and initiate corrective actions.
Facilitate workshops, develop quarterly workplans, product roadmaps and action plans balancing stakeholder priorities, user needs, technical feasibility and organizational capacity.
Build relationships with product managers of other OCHA platforms (e.g. Humanitarian Data Exchange) to develop common data standards, schemas and AI integration.
Research, analyze and present information from diverse sources.
Coordinate policy development, review issues/trends, prepare evaluations and studies.
Generate survey initiatives to understand user needs; design tools, analyze responses and prepare conclusions.
Organize and prepare written outputs including background papers, analysis, reports and publications.
Initiate and coordinate outreach activities; conduct training workshops and seminars; make presentations.
Coordinate budget activities (programme preparation, submissions, progress reports, financial statements) and prepare related documents.
Supervise teams collecting, verifying and cataloging information/data.
Liaise with technical teams and service providers on software development, cybersecurity, infrastructure and platform requirements.
Collect and analyze data to identify trends/patterns; provide insights through data visualization for planning, decision‑making and reporting.
Perform other duties as required.
Education
Advanced university degree
(Master’s or equivalent) in relevant field required.
First‑level degree plus 2 additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of Master’s.
Work Experience
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in project/programme management, administration or related area required.
Minimum 3 years (within last 7 years) managing digital/data products required.
Experience using agile methodologies for technical product development desirable.
Experience in humanitarian context within UN Common System or comparable international organization desirable.
Minimum 3 years (within last 7 years) of international field experience in aid operations (complex emergency or natural disaster) desirable
