United Nations Office for Project Services HR Senior Assistant Jobs in Kenya;The HR Senior Assistant provides technical and administrative support to ensure efficient processing, documentation, monitoring and maintenance of HR transactions and services delivered to Office personnel.

Functions / Key Results Expected

HR Advice

  • Provide guidance to personnel on HR procedures and practices.

  • Assist HR Lead in engaging with clients and addressing inquiries.

  • Support onboarding by processing new hire documentation and orientation tasks.

  • Advise personnel on recruitment, performance management and learning processes.

    Talent Acquisition & Administration

  • Support end‑to‑end recruitment including offers, rejections, HRIS data entry and reference checks.

  • Assist in longlisting, testing and interviewing stages; finalize selection approvals.

  • Inform and advise personnel, consultants and partners on conditions of service and entitlements.

  • Follow up with supervisors and personnel on HR processes (absence requests, evaluations).

  • Support payroll verification and maintain HR records.

  • Monitor HR actions including expiring contracts and pending separations.

    Knowledge Building & Sharing

  • Provide planning and logistical support for HR training sessions.

  • Participate in knowledge‑sharing activities to build HR capacity.

    Education Requirements

    Required

  • Secondary school (or equivalent) with 5 years’ relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of relevant experience.

    Desired

  • Professional certificate in Human Resource Management (HRM).
