United Nations Office at Nairobi Health and Wellness Intern Jobs

United Nations Office at Nairobi Health and Wellness Intern Jobs; The JMS Wellness Intern supports the implementation of the UNON Joint Medical Services wellness programme. The role assists in health promotion, outreach, communication, and administrative activities, while contributing to data collection, monitoring, and evaluation of wellness initiatives.

Responsibilities

Health Promotion & Outreach

Assist in preparing health and wellness communication tools.

Support health promotion campaigns, fitness activities, and group challenges.

Promote awareness on healthy nutrition and support nutrition‑based wellness activities.

Administrative & Programme Support

Provide administrative support for wellness activities.

Assist with HIV Workplace programme activities, including the annual UN Run and Children’s HIV training.

Support JMS interventions for prevention and control of infectious disease outbreaks.

Communication & Knowledge Sharing

Disseminate health awareness content via JMS website, newsletters, and social media.

Contribute to visibility materials and programme updates.

Data Collection & Research

Assist in data collection, analytics, surveys, interviews, and report writing.

Support monitoring and evaluation of wellness programmes.

Present recommendations and contribute to research activities.

Learning & Engagement

Utilize internship activities to gain core skills aligned with academic learning objectives.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies

Education

Applicants must meet one

of the following:
– Enrolled in a graduate programme (second university degree or higher).
– Enrolled in final academic year of a first university degree (minimum Bachelor’s).
– Graduated with Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD.

Preferred areas of study: Nutrition & Dietetics, Public Health, Wellness Studies, Health Communications, or related fields.

Languages

Fluency in oral and written English required.

Knowledge of another UN official language desirable.
