United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan Chief Service Delivery Jobs;The Chief, Service Delivery reports directly to the Director of Mission Support (DMS) and is responsible for overall management of technical and logistical support services to all Mission components. The role ensures integrated planning, coordination, and delivery of services, including staff, assets, and budgetary resources.

Key Responsibilities

Exercise managerial and supervisory control over logistics, technical, and operational support services.

Contribute to planning and resourcing of operational requirements in coordination with Mission components.

Design strategies for effective service delivery to all clients.

Manage multifunctional support requirements between UNHQ, Mission components, and external entities.

Act as principal liaison with Regional/Global Service Centres and Headquarters.

Develop and implement service delivery work plans, priorities, and requirements.

Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure consistency and improvements.

Plan and coordinate logistics support for deployment of civilian, military, and police components.

Act as workforce planner, Hiring Manager, and First Reporting Officer for Service Delivery pillar.

Certify budget allocations and advise senior management on support services structures and staffing.

Ensure timely management of UN assets and contractual services.

Coordinate budgetary requirements and contribute to Mission budget submissions.

Provide technical responses to audit observations and ensure timely implementation.

Deputize for DMS as required.

Education

Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, Medical, ICT, or related field.

First‑level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted.

Work Experience

Minimum 15 years’ progressively responsible experience in at least three service delivery areas (fleet, ICT, medical, construction, building/facilities, contract management).

At least 5 years’ management experience in service delivery, including 2 years in international logistics operations.

Experience managing complex logistics in conflict/post‑conflict environments desirable.

Experience in planning, deployment, sustaining field operations, and liquidation/drawdown of missions desirable.

Languages

Fluency in English required.
