United Nations Human Settlements Programme Director - Corporate Management Division Jobs in Kenya;The Chief of Service, Management and Programme Analysis, will lead the Corporate Management Division (CMD) of UN‑Habitat. The role involves strategic planning, oversight of corporate management functions, financial and human resources management, operational support, and engagement with UN reforms.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Oversight
Formulate and supervise implementation of the Division’s substantive work programme.
Oversee activities across CMD units and ensure timely delivery.
Contribute to overall strategies and policies, advising the Executive Director.
Ensure outputs meet high‑quality standards and align with strategic plans.
Human Resources Management
Oversee HR planning and strategic management, ensuring gender and geographical balance.
Guide staff performance evaluation and professional development.
Promote teamwork and communication across divisions and with UNON/third‑party providers.
Finance & Budget Management
Manage Division’s budget, ensuring efficient financial planning and monitoring.
Act as Secretary of the Budget Committee and report to senior management.
Oversee flagship projects (e.g., World Urban Forum) and regional programme architecture.
Present and defend budgets to intergovernmental bodies and the Executive Board.
Operational Support
Provide timely support to divisions, regional and country offices.
Liaise with UNON and third‑party providers for administrative services.
Oversee procurement planning and monitoring under the 2026‑2029 strategic plan.
Leadership & UN Engagement
Prepare reports for ACABQ, CPC, ECOSOC, General Assembly, UN‑Habitat Assembly, and Executive Board.
Represent UN‑Habitat at international, regional, and interagency meetings.
Participate in governance mechanisms, leadership meetings, and task forces.
Manage corporate risk register and internal controls.

Education
Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (Mandatory).
First‑level degree with 2 additional years of experience acceptable.
Training in data analytics, business analytics, or data science desirable.
Experience
Minimum 15 years’ progressively responsible experience in HR, administration, or financial management (Mandatory).
At least 7 years’ leadership experience managing diverse teams (Mandatory).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in risk management and internal control (Mandatory).
Minimum 5 years’ HR management experience in large international organizations (Mandatory).
Experience coordinating and presenting budgets to intergovernmental bodies (Mandatory).
Experience supporting country/regional offices in UN or similar organizations (Desirable).
Experience in data analytics (Desirable).
Languages
Fluency in English required.
French desirable.
