Specific Tasks & Responsibilities

Develop the MIKE Content Management System in Drupal.

Migrate current MIKE content to the new system.

Support deployment of the newly developed system to UNICC servers.

Improve performance of UNEP GEF Project Implementation Report (PIR) system.

Prepare the GEF PIR system for FY2026 reporting, including archiving FY2025 results and setting up the 2026 form.

Reduce repetitive data entry by updating 2026 entries from 2025 results.

Design and develop the Household Waste Categorization web application for Lesotho using Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Qualifications & Special Skills

Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field required.

A first‑level degree plus two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of a Master’s.

Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in computer science, IT or information systems required.

Experience in Drupal CMS development, API integration, MS SQL and relational databases, HTML5, CSS3, React, Python, PHP, MVC frameworks and Docker Hub required.

Experience in system analysis, design and programming with advanced coding skills.

Work experience in the United Nations or similar international organizations desirable.
