United Nations Environment Programme Learning Management System Technical Support Consultant Jobs in Kenya;The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a Technical Support Consultant to lead the migration and rollout of the UN Campus Learning Management System (LMS). Based in Nairobi, the role will configure, migrate, launch, and sustain the new platform while ensuring smooth adoption, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities
Configuration & Migration
Set up and customize LMS features to fit UNEP requirements.
Migrate digital learning content and learner profiles from Corporate Academy LMS to UN Campus.
Ensure SCORM compatibility and secure accessibility with minimal service interruption.
Launch & Sustain
Make the new LMS public and accessible to the learning community.
Provide timely information to target audiences.
Ensure smooth running of the platform until fully sustained.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
Record major activities of the migration project.
Document background resources and share in a central repository.
Deliver knowledge transfer sessions to HR staff to build internal capacity.
Operational Duties
Contribute to development and operationalization of UN Campus.
Facilitate entity onboarding, data migration, and feature training.
Conduct quality assurance and synthesize learner feedback.
Test new features, troubleshoot issues, and explore AI‑enabled tools.
Design learning resources, communication materials, and operational checklists.
Review and update user manuals, technical guides, SOPs, and best practice guidelines.
Deliver hands‑on technical training to HR staff.
Qualifications
Advanced degree in Education Technology, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, Information Systems, Computer Science, HR Management, Business Administration, or related field.
First‑level degree with two additional years of experience may be accepted.
Minimum 2 years’ hands‑on Moodle Workplace/LMS administration experience.
Experience in LMS implementation, content migration, user access management, testing, troubleshooting, training, and documentation.
Experience supporting organization‑wide LMS rollouts in international organizations or large enterprises highly desirable.
Languages
Fluency in English required.
French desirable.
Competencies
Professionalism: Strong technical knowledge of LMS platforms, accuracy, and client‑oriented approach.
Technological Awareness: Applies and learns new technologies.
Communication: Excellent skills in presenting ideas and preparing reports.
Teamwork: Effective collaboration in multicultural environments.
