United Nations Environment Programme Information Technology and Management Intern Jobs in Kenya


United Nations Environment Programme Information Technology and Management Intern Jobs in Kenya;Support UNEP’s Ecosystems Division, Source to Sea Pollution Unit, in the management and enhancement of the Global Plastics Hub under the Global Partnership on Plastic Pollution and Marine Litter (GPML). The internship focuses on plastic lifecycle data analysis, bug resolution, system enhancements, and user engagement monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with plastic lifecycle data analysis by identifying new datasets and recommending approaches for integration and visualization.

  • Support optimization and migration of the Global Plastics Hub, including cleaning outdated data and providing technical assistance.

  • Identify and resolve bugs, improve functionalities, and support day‑to‑day management of the Hub.

  • Monitor user engagement and conduct user data analysis to improve GPML outreach and promote increased Hub usage.

    Qualifications & Special Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.

  • Master’s degree in a related field desirable.

  • Strong technical skills in data analysis, system optimization, and IT support.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

    Languages

  • Fluency in English required.

  • Knowledge of French or another UN language an advantage.
