United Nations Environment Programme Information Technology and Management Consultant Jobs in Kenya; The main objective of this consultancy is to support the successful implementation of work under the GPML related to efficiency, enhancement, and user experience of the Global Plastics Hub.

Responsibilities

Global Plastics Hub Enhancement:

  • Plan and prepare optimization and migration of the Global Plastics Hub: review existing content, identify redundancies, scope optimization, provide technical inputs for ToR, and define operational modalities

  • Manage OICT’s technical clearance process: prepare Enterprise Architecture Review Document and C4 diagram, monitor EATF application process

  • Coordinate and support optimization and migration: manage migration to UNEP Azure system, complete migration, and identify future operation/management systems

  • Support implementation and maintenance of the Hub: ensure timely resolution of issues, conduct QA checks, support GPML communications, manage content updates, update user guides, and address user feedback

  • Support resource mobilization and strategic planning: provide inputs to 3-year plan, prepare funding proposals/pitch decks, assist stakeholder consultations

  • Data analytics for Hub usage and traffic (2026): collect and consolidate data, clean and analyze, identify trends, and provide inputs for monitoring/reporting

    Qualifications / Special Skills

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required

  • Master’s degree desirable

    Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in IT management, computer science, website development/management, and data analytics required

  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills required

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to produce high-quality analysis required

  • Experience in environmental data analytics and knowledge management, particularly on plastic pollution, desirable

    Languages

  • Fluency in written and oral English required

  • Working knowledge of other UN official languages desirable
