United Nations Environment Programme Communication Intern Jobs in Kenya;The Communication Intern will support UNEP’s climate communication activities, including publication launches, outreach, web updates, and event coordination. The role offers hands‑on experience in environmental communication and campaign management within an international organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support coordination and launch of climate publications.

  • Assist outreach and distribution of UNEP reports and campaigns to partners and networks.

  • Coordinate updates to climate‑related webpages and ensure content accuracy.

  • Support planning and delivery of climate events and campaign activations.

  • Track communications outputs and funded deliverables for internal and donor reporting.

  • Prepare meeting notes and follow up on agreed actions.

  • Lead selected initiatives based on interests and skills under supervision.

  • Liaise with editorial, multimedia, social media, web and translation teams for timely delivery.

  • Apply design skills to prepare presentations, social media assets and other materials.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Special Skills

  • Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme (Master’s or higher) or final year of a Bachelor’s degree.

  • Preferred fields: Communication, International Affairs or Environment‑related studies.

  • No professional experience required.

  • Good knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and MS Teams.

  • Field of study must relate closely to the internship type.

  • Applicants must provide proof of enrolment or completion and may be required to submit an official certificate later.
