United Nations Environment Programme Behavioral Science Intern Vacancy
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in drafting analyses of the impact and potential benefits of behavioural science (BeSci) for UNEP’s work.
Assist in mapping existing projects and best practices on BeSci within UNEP, and relevant best practices from UN sister organizations.
Assist in populating the TEAMS channel of the Community of Practice (CoP) on BeSci, including reports and publications, initiatives, trainings, and events.
Assist in organizing meetings of the CoP on BeSci Steering Committee (communications, preparation of presentations, notetaking, etc.).
Support the organisation of events and webinars on behavioural science themes relevant to UNEP’s work.
Support in drafting outreach and communication materials relating to the activities of the CoP on BeSci.
Carry out other duties relevant to the intern’s educational background.
Qualifications / Special Skills
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
Field of Study: Behavioural Science, Business Psychology, or another related field is
required.
Additional requirements:
Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience, but the field of study must be closely related to the internship type.
Applicants should explain how their training, education, coursework, or skills will benefit UNEP during the internship (e.g., communication, digital content, multimedia work, writing for websites, managing social media, contributing to newsletters or blogs).
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
For this position, fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Knowledge of another UN language is an added advantage.
