Responsibilities Security Consulting
Assist clients in meeting compliance obligations by evaluating business, technology & operations against security standards (ex. PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO27001, HIPAA)
Share expertise to help make top-level decisions on strategy & scope, as well as deep & highly technical projects like web application architecture & security
Provide clear, organized findings & recommendations to clients, tracking progress towards resolution & compliance
Client-facing Security Engineering
Ensure people who provide information for Security purposes are made aware of the outcome of its analysis
Execute the analysis and tools required to drive process improvements on discrete projects or accounts
Security Investigation
Able to perform forensic collections of data and to conduct detailed forensic analysis tasks including data recovery, production of forensic images and compilation of forensic examination reports
Collection and management of evidence to ensure that the chain of custody is fully documented in accordance with local statutes and policies
Use of forensic and data mining tools to collect, search, recover, sort and organize large amounts of information in all phases of an investigation
Security Assurance & Compliance
Conduct security / compliance audits based on SOC2 / ITIL / ISACA / COBIT / NIST or other guidelines
Develop audit plans for allocated audit assignments Contribute to contract compliance work Analytics and Cyber Threat Analysis
Continuous & persistent monitoring of security technologies/tool data and network traffic which result in security alerts generated, parsed, triggered, or observed on the in-scope managed networks, enclaves, systems, or security technologies
Correlation and trend analysis of security logs, network traffic, security alerts, events, and incidents
Candidate Profile required:
5-10 Years Client-Facing IT Service and 10 Years in IT Security & Management Project/ Client Engagement/ Customer Facing Experience.
5-10 Years of Client-Facing Security / Risk Management and Service
Experience in understanding client needs; evaluating requirements and identifying solutions to non-standard task queries
Experience in identifying key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data and coming up with new less obvious solutions to problems
PROVEN written and verbal communication
PROVEN analytical & problem solving
Personality traits: Naturally curious and inquisitive nature; persistent and determined; loves solving problems and puzzles; analytically rigorous; uncompromising integrity
Be able to prioritise and work with multiple stakeholders an eye for detail.
Qualification
One or more of the following certifications:
CISPP, CEH, CISM, GIAC
IT Related undergraduate or graduate degree
Membership in relevant organizations (e.g. OWASP, ISACA, ISC2) preferred
Skills Mapping
Prior consulting experience (internally or for external clients) preferred.
Skills must be proven based on a combination of education
and actual work responsibilities.
Prior experience working in any of the following three: Security Operations Centre (SOC), Network Operations Centre (NOC), Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT)
Experience in the detection, response, mitigation, and/or reporting of cyber threats affecting client networks
Experience in computer intrusion analysis, incident response and forensic analysis
Working knowledge of Intrusion detection/protection systems
Knowledge and understanding of network devices, multiple operating systems, and secure architectures
Ability to code or script in one or more general purpose languages
Strong understanding of various Linux OS's (Centos, Ubuntu, Debian, etc), Unix and Windows.
Understanding of various virtualization platforms VMware, HyperV, and Virtual Box
Working knowledge of network protocols and common services
Current experience with network intrusion detection and response operations (Protect, Defend, Respond and Sustain methodology)
Experience responding to and resolving situations caused by network attacks
Ability to assess information of network threats such as scans, computer viruses or complex attacks
Working knowledge of WAN/LAN concepts and technologies SIEM content Analysis, Development and Testing
Familiarity with packet analysis to include: HTTP Headers & Status codes, SMTP Traffic &Status codes, FTP Traffic & Status Codes Penetration testing skills
Technical Acumen
Regulatory framework audit experience, or direct knowledge of:
NIST-800, ISO 27001, CISv7
Audit & Compliance activities
Anti-spam Management processes and systems
Forensic analysis
Access Control Management processes and systems
Encryption techniques - Content Filtering
Security Policy / SDLC Framework/Standards
Working understanding of SIEM tools & processes
Work history with Vulnerability Management processes & systems
Application security scanning tools and methodologies
Penetration Testing skills
Windows and Linux or Unix O/S.
