Key function, Accountabilities

  • Analyze and document Every Newborn Action Plan progress in ESA region and organize regional webinar for the dissemination regional ENAP analysis;
  • Develop of regional dashboard for facilitating monitoring of progress on key maternal, newborn and adolescent health priorities;
  • Generate knowledge products and best practice from the field documents. Support and contribute to technical reports and inputs for program preparation, donor proposals and documentation ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information;
  • Report writing for the upcoming regional events including: Intercountry learning workshop on Possible Serious Bacterial Infection in Tanzania and Newborn Care training in Kenya
  • Develop costing guidelines for the KMC implementation which then could be used for the advocacy purpose.

    Qualifications
  • To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
  • Education – Bachelor degree and currently enrolled in graduate school
    in public health or related field with a minimum age of 18 years
  • Recent graduates are allowed until 2 years after degree completion
  • Experience in MNCH program areas in development and emergency context
  • Good interpersonal communication, planning and organizing skills
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity, good analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills, report writing skills
  • Proficiency in standard office applications
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
    Language - English (highly proficient verbal and written)
  • Previous internship experience with UN agencies is an advantage
  • Excellent academic performance, as demonstrated by academic records and experience with data management
