Unga Holding Plant Controller Jobs in Kenya;Reporting to the Business Controller, the Plant Controller drives plant productivity through financial planning, cost management, product costing, inventory management and internal controls, ensuring adherence to UHL’s financial policies and procedures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Planning

  • Drive total plant budgeting process and support management decision‑making.

    Cost Management

  • Analyze and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

  • Lead efficiency initiatives to maximize product margins.

    Product Costing

  • Work with Plant Manager to ensure product cost competitiveness.

  • Maintain accurate product costing in SAP (activity type and overhead rates updates).

  • Collaborate with Business Controller to develop competitive pricing strategies.

    Internal Controls

  • Ensure effective controls in revenue, expenditure and inventory processes.

  • Safeguard company assets through compliance with policies.

    Inventory Management

  • Ensure optimum stockholding and sound inventory control systems.

  • Develop monthly stock‑taking and reconciliation procedures.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances promptly.

    Plant Performance

  • Prepare timely and accurate plant reports, highlighting variances for corrective action.

  • Support payables and receivables sections to ensure smooth supplier payment processing.

    People Management

  • Identify gaps and build team capability.

  • Conduct orientation, induction and training of team members.

  • Manage team performance weekly and monthly.

  • Drive succession planning
    and uphold company code of conduct.

  • Ensure compliance with HR, continual improvement, safety and GMP programs.

    Job Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • University degree in a business‑related field.

  • Qualified Accountant (CPA(K), ACCA or equivalent).

  • Hands‑on SAP knowledge (CO, MM, PP), spreadsheets and MS Office applications.

  • Five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with proven inventory and production process achievements.
