Unga Holding Human Resource Manager- People Experience Jobs in Kenya;The HR Manager – Employee Experience is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing strategies and programs that enhance the overall employee journey across the organization. This role ensures optimal HR service delivery, drives engagement, strengthens organizational culture, and aligns people strategies with business objectives while maintaining operational excellence in HR processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Employee Experience & Culture Transformation

  • Develop and implement onboarding processes for excellent new joiner experience.

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and monitor impact.

  • Lead employee communication across multiple channels.

  • Manage welfare programs, team‑building activities, and culture initiatives.

  • Champion culture transformation through engagement surveys and feedback loops.

    Talent Management

  • Partner with HR Managers and EXCO to implement talent strategies.

  • Design and operationalize internal talent review processes.

  • Spearhead leadership development, coaching, and mentoring programs.

  • Collect and analyze talent analytics to inform succession planning.

  • Maintain retention and promotion programs to safeguard critical talent.

    Performance Management

  • Manage the corporate performance management lifecycle.

  • Optimize the Unga Performance Management System (Hoshin Kanri – HK).

  • Partner with HR Managers to cultivate a high‑performance culture.

  • Lead education campaigns to ensure fairness and transparency.

    Strategic Sourcing & Talent Acquisition

  • Serve as strategic talent partner to hiring managers.

  • Support workforce planning and timely recruitment.

  • Deploy data‑led attraction strategies for high‑caliber professionals.

    Total Compensation, Benefits & Rewards

  • Shape fair and inspiring compensation systems.

  • Propose progressive reward models and benefits partnerships.

  • Conduct salary benchmarking exercises.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance on commission structures.

  • Oversee medical and pension schemes.

  • Build recognition programs and
    drive job evaluation exercises.

    Policy Development, Governance & Risk

  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislative environments.

  • Provide advisory on disciplinary processes.

  • Maintain ER/IR and labour dispute register.

  • Audit HR environment to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

    HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Coordinate HR budgeting and track expenditures.

  • Create executive‑ready financial reports on HR costs.

  • Monitor HR performance metrics including productivity and efficiency.

  • Submit proactive briefs on industry trends to Group HR Director.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, or related field.

  • Master’s degree an added advantage.

  • Professional HR qualification with membership to relevant body.

  • Valid IHRM practicing certificate.

  • Minimum 7 years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in mid‑to‑senior management.

  • Hands‑on experience in recruitment, culture transformation, remuneration, performance management, etc.

  • Proficiency in HRMIS and Microsoft suites.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
