UNDP Consultancy - Business-to-Business Linkages Event Jobs in South Sudan

Purpose of B2B; The purpose of the Business-to-Business Linkages Event on 22 July 2019 is to empower young entrepreneurs through linkages with more established businesses. The event is a networking opportunity for South Sudanese Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) as well as an opportunity to have an open dialogue with different stakeholders - such as the AU Special Envoy for Youth, UNDP, etc. - on what MSMEs need from them to grow their businesses in South Sudan.

Responsibilities:

Publicize the event across their business network and mobilize private sector participants for the event, particularly established South Sudanese businesses

Research each of the invited businesses to map out who should be introduced to whom

Identify, invite and brief facilitators to introduce businesses to each other during the networking session

Prepare the space on the morning of the event and brief the volunteers

Identify and brief the master of ceremonies for the event

Report and assess the outcomes of the event, specifically the linkages made

Methodology

In preparation for the networking event, the event organizer will call all the businesses attending to: Confirm their attendance; update the list of entrepreneurs with a description of their businesses, the stage their businesses are in

and what kind of linkages they are looking for

Agree on their role during the event, either

Regular participant

Pitching a business idea

Presenting business with visibility materials

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, social sciences or related field.

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the private sector

A proven track record of having organized at least three events of international standards

Demonstrated ability to successfully organize large-scale business-to-business linkage events

Extensive business network and a database of South Sudanese entrepreneurs

Extensive knowledge and understanding of the private sector and its needs in South Sudan

Language proficiency in English is required
