Undergraduate Research Grant Application

I am a final year Medical Laboratory Science student, who wishes to do a study on microbial involvement in diabetic foot ulcers in the local population but lack funding to do adequate work.
I wish to know how I can apply and possibly obtain a grant for this short term study (4 months).
