Uganda Prisons Service Cadet Assistants Superintendent of Prison - Agricultural Officer Jobs


Minimum Academic Qualifications

  • Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor‘s degree in Agriculture (Crop option) from a recognized University or institution

    Duties:

    The incumbent will be responsible to the Officer in-Charge of a Prisons Farm for performing the following duties:

    • Coordinating crop husbandry activities on prisons farms;

    • Carrying out project planning, monitoring and evaluation of agricultural activities;

    • Liaising with other related organizations: e.g. NARO, NFA, District Agricultural institutes on Agricultural related activities;

    • Submitting monthly, quarterly and annual reports on agricultural activities;

    • identifying agricultural inputs and implements;

    • Supervising and appraising subordinate staff;

    • Working out a comprehensive agricultural rehabilitation programmes for inmates;

    • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Applicants should have the following competences:

    • Ability to adapt to multi-cultural settings; Communication Skills;

    • Team Building and Problem-Solving skills.

    • Age limit is 35 years.
