Uber Data Centre Implementation Jobs in Kenya

Our client, a leading brand in IT services is seeking to recruit a Data Centre Implementation & Support Engineer

Roles

Maintain and enhance documentation for hardware, software, and firmware as it relates to configurations, changes, problems, standards, procedures, and processes.

Assist and coordinate problem determination activities with other groups such as Server, Database, and Network management.

Advising of creative technical solutions
Provide a professional, prompt and high level of technical support to all problems assigned

Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment

Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years’ experience in DellEMC/NetApp/HP/IBM Storage with VMware

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Mixture of intermediate and advanced knowledge of multiple major vendor platforms – Storage Area Networks (SAN), Enterprise Storage Arrays. This includes DellEMC, NetApp, HDS, IBM with VMware

Hands on experience on LUN creation, allocation and de allocation of LUNs, LUN Mapping, Zoning, merging and zone segmentation concepts

Experience in SAN/NAS, Reporting, & Event Monitor, performance analysis and improvement at storage level, system health check and storage capacity planning

Experience in install & Configure Brocade, Cisco SAN fabrics and Integration with Servers and Storage

Backup experience with NetBackup/Data Domain and TSM a plus

Knowledge of Operating System concepts (Linux, Windows, Solaris) would be an added advantage

Must have 2-3 Certification, VMware VCP Certification is Must
