Turkana University College Security Assistant Jobs in Kenya

Responsibilities

  • Develop security policies in the institution to form part of strategic plan of the University College
  • Manage security services in the University College
  • Ensure security, discipline and organize for staff training,
  • Conduct Security inspections
  • Ensure security intelligence is continuously collected, analyzed and acted upon to enhance security in the University College
  • Design security documents, related information and modernizing security operations
  • Administration of emergencies
  • Liaise with government security organs.

    Qualifications

  • Certificate in Criminology or Security Studies and must have Certificate of Good Conduct.
  • ICT Competent will have an added advantage.

    Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and practical timely support to ensure effective and efficient Board
    and committee meetings/processes by facilitating proper constitution, clear terms of reference, well-articulated agenda and minutes, including following up of actions
    points.
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable laws, regulations and codes of ethics.
  • Ensure statutory compliance through regular monitoring and implementation of legal,
    regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Represent the University College in all types of suits
  • Offer legal advice to the University College
  • Draft, update and review contracts and other legal documentation
  • File statutory returns, council records, and college assets registers
  • Conduct Training needs assessment for the council members and implement appropriate interventions to meet statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Organize for effective Council and Committee evaluations.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB) with one (1) relevant work experience.
  • In addition, membership to a recognized Professional Body and ICT Competence will have an added advantage

    Turkana University College Assistant Internal Auditor I Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Review and develop audit systems, techniques and procedures and ensure their effective implementation
  • Ensure university policies and procedures, current developments in accounting and
    auditing professions are current
  • Prepare and submit the University College Audit reports to University Council and
    relevant Government bodies.
  • Undertake comprehensive audits on utilization of resources
  • Ascertain correctness of accounting records
  • Prepare audit reports
  • Draw up audit programmes
  • Prepares audit queries and observations

    Qualifications

  • Bachelors
    Degree in Finance, Accounting, and Business Administration or its equivalent and CPA Part II with Six (6) years working experience three (3) of which as Senior Audit Assistant Scale VIII or its equivalent OR CPA (K) with three (3) years working experience three (3) of which as Senior Audit Assistant Scale VIII or its equivalent and registered with relevant professional body.
  • In addition, those with Computerized Information Systems Audit (CISA) will have an added advantage.

    Turkana University College ICT Officer (Scale XI) Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Ensure appropriate data security and access controls considering both local and wide area
    issues.
  • Organize for schedule preventive maintenance of ICT infrastructure.
  • Develop training materials, operating and user manuals,
  • Implement policies and procedures to govern activities in the department.
  • Evaluate systems and ensuring adherence to established performance standards,
  • Maintain primary, backup and disaster recovery data centres.
  • Ensure work and changes to the ICT infrastructure components are undertaken.
  • Co-ordinate administration and maintenance of LAN & WAN.
  • Compile progress reports on the operations of ICT systems.
  • Ensure compliance with database vendor license agreement
  • Control user access to ICT systems.
  • Train staff in assigned systems.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Systems Control or related discipline with Six(6)years work experience in university environment.
  • In addition candidates with relevant certificates in such as CCNA, CCNP, Linux, MCITP, MCDA, CISA, CISM, SAP, and Oracle.
