Requirements for appointment
Applicants must have the following: -
(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences plus a Diploma in Human Resource Management;
(ii) Must be a professional member of IHRM
(iii) Certificate in computer applications skills; and
Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Specific duties and responsibilities will entail:
1. Authorizing leave;
2. Authorizing payroll data amendments;
3. Attending to general correspondence;
4. Verifying information relating to recruitment, appointment, transfers, salary payment;
5. Issuing letters of appointment and confirmation;
6. Issuing retirement notices;
7. Processing of separation documents/benefits;
8. Supervising staff;
9. Validating information collected on letters of promotion, probation, appointment;
10. Responding to teachers’ queries on HR issues; and
11. Capturing teachers’ data on appointment and any other changes that may arise.
