Trocaire Finance Assistant Jobs in Kenya;The Finance Assistant will work closely with the Finance and Administration Officer, Programme Accountants, and Programme Support Officers to provide end‑to‑end financial and administrative support. The role ensures compliance with policies, accurate documentation, and timely reporting while supporting audits and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Administration Support

  • Ensure payment requests comply with Finance and Budgeting Policy.

  • Prepare monthly batch uploads for taxi and flight expenses.

  • Stamp all digital payment documents “paid.”

  • Support review of weekly bank statements and monthly checklists.

  • Assist with monthly statutory returns filing.

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the finance department.

  • Support digital processing of payments and maintain organized folders.

  • Review and clean finance folders, merge documents, and manage templates.

  • Ensure timely retrieval of documents for reporting and audits.

  • Maintain up‑to‑date digital payments folder and monthly filing.

  • Track Somalia staff timesheets and ensure timely submission.

  • Archive finance correspondence and maintain statutory returns folders.

  • Collaborate with finance team to ensure efficient document handling.

    Audit Support

  • Update the audit tracker for Somalia programme.

  • Liaise with Programme Accountants to retrieve sample documents for audits.

  • Categorize and index files systematically for audit readiness.

  • Update Salesforce with final audit
    reports at project and organizational level.

    Essential Requirements

  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Finance or related field and/or CPA Section II.

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience at Trócaire an added advantage.

  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to work independently and as a strong team player.

  • Excellent organizational skills, initiative, and attention to detail.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Integrity, responsibility, and ability to engage respectfully with diverse teams.
