Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and implement therapeutic diets for outpatients and inpatients

Provide guidelines on therapeutic diets for hospital use, home-based care, and other institutions

Treat and counsel patients using specialized dietetic nutritionally modified products

Implement nutrition and dietetics process including screening, assessing, formulating, and evaluating interventions

Provide nutrition support in patient management in healthcare facilities

Develop and disseminate nutrition behaviour change communication, information, education, and communication materials

Implement nutrition health programmes

Collect and compile nutrition and dietetic data

Requirements for Appointment

Bachelor’s Degree in Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics, Dietetics/Clinical Nutrition, Food Science and Nutrition, or Home Economics from a recognized institution

Registration by the Council of the Institute of Nutritionists and Dieticians (CIND)

Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
