Trans Nzoia County Public Service Board Laboratory Technologist II Jobs in Kenya





Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive and scrutinize laboratory requisition forms and specimens

  • Prepare clients for specimen collection

  • Receive, collect, label, and register specimens

  • Disaggregate specimens for processing and analysis

  • Prepare reagents for laboratory use

  • Supervise disinfection, washing, and sterilization of apparatus

  • Prepare media for culture and sensitivity testing

  • Examine specimens for quality

  • Write and record laboratory findings and results

  • Dispatch laboratory results for clinical management

  • Prepare blood products

  • Process specimens according to standard operating procedures

  • Prepare operational research proposals and periodical laboratory reports

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

  • Registration by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board

  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
