Members of the County Public Service Board
Duties and responsibilities
  • Assisting in preparation of regular reports for submission to the County Assembly on the execution of the functions of the Board.
  • Observing good corporate Governance Principles in the performance of duties.
  • Ensuring delivery of quality services to the citizens.
  • Promoting public service values and principles in the County government as referred to in Articles 10 & 232 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
  • Advising on the appointment of persons to hold or act in the County Public Offices, including on the Boards of Urban arrears within the County and to confirm appointments.
  • Performing duties as assigned by the Board.

    Academic Qualifications and Attributes
  • A Bachelor's Degree from a University recognized in Kenya.
  • Working experience of at least five (5) years in administration and management.
  • Demonstrated professional competence and management capabilities; and clear understanding of the Legislation, Policy Framework governing the County Public Service, National Goals, Values and Principles of Governance.
  • Satisfies the provision of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and Integrity.
  • Should not be a state or public officer.

    Terms of Service
  • Six (6) years non-renewable contract Salaries and other allowances. payable as per Salaries and Remuneration Commission guidelines.

  • For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya, all applicants must obtain the following:- Tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority
  • Clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board Clearance certificate from the Ethics and
    Anti-Corruption Commission Clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigations Department.
  • Copies of these certificates Must be attached to the applications.
  • All written applications CVs copies of certificates, testimonials and identity cards should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the left side the position being applied for and addressed to : The County Secretary County Government of Transnzoia P. O. Box 4211-30200 Kitale
  • All applications should be in hard copy and delivered to the office of The County Secretary at The County Headquarters ( town hall) next to Kitale Law Courts, Kitale Town on/or before 17th May ,2019.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce the Original National Identity Card, Academic and Professional Certificates and Testimonials.
