Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Minimum 6 years of experience as Reservoir Engineer. Autonomous in Reservoir Simulation (Intersect), interested in Operations, Reservoir Management and Digitalization

  • Open-mindedness, adaptive, ability to communicate freely, decision-making in tight timeline and confident to support his/her decision, results orientation; Fluency in English is required

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • At the heart of the Tilenga development, you contribute to the preparation of more than 400 wells, the follow-up of their drilling operations and the integration of the well results into a comprehensive Subsurface synthesis of the area developed by these wells.

  • In line with the Reservoir Management Plan, prepare the Well Statement of Requirements in close collaboration with the Operation Geology and G&G team (objectives, well trajectory, target, section TD, data acquisition) and follow the execution.

  • Integrate the latest acquired data into a larger context of the field development while working closely with Geologist, Geophysicist and well performance engineers and perform dynamic synthesis. To that end, use elementary techniques of reservoir engineering (such as well test interpretation, production analysis, PVT interpretation, Material Balance, simulation) to interpret these data

  • You are responsible for generating production profiles to optimize the reservoir development plan of Tilenga and participating in the evaluation of the Reserves and Resources of TotalEnergies’ portfolio in Uganda. This includes the update of the reservoir model based on new findings and its history match to optimize the development with a cost-saving approach.

  • You provide the necessary Reservoir Engineering support to
    prepare Tilenga’s first-oil, including planning and execution of the Polymer Injection Pre-Development (PIPD) and the Artificial Tracer campaign.

  • Once Tilenga’s production starts, you will be responsible for the reservoir monitoring and well surveillance on a specific group of fields. You will be an active member of the Well Performance Group and as such exposed to Well Performance activities.

  • You work closely with Geoinformation team to properly manage the Reservoir data,), acquired data (raw, processed and interpreted), reservoir synthesis reports and simulation models. You will be exposed to the OSDU dataplatform which is one of the digital flagships of our Company.

  • You will perform these activities while embodying the high standard HSE values of the Company.

  • Propose and build solutions (digital, numerical, and analytical) to streamline the reservoir activities, reservoir synthesis, etc.

  • You will present Reservoir Engineering activities to Partners, Authorities, and HQ in appropriate forums.

  • Contribute to the documentation and reporting required by the Company, the Partners and the Local Authorities (PRR, ARR, …)
