Job Description

TotalEnergies is active in Romania since 1998 and employs in the country 1700 people, with activities currently covering its historical business such as the distribution of automotive lubricant, a service stations network, and industrial activities thanks to its affiliate Hutchinson. TotalEnergies in Romania is now moving forward renewables.

TotalEnergies has entered into a first framework agreement with a key developer, for the development of large PV projects in Romania, and has parallelly secured lands for greenfield development. In parallel other numerous agreements are being discussed.

TotalEnergies Renewables International (REN INT) subsidiary of TotalEnergies has strong ambitions in the development of solar and onshore wind Utility Power Plant scale with public and private off takers within its perimeter (focusing mainly in Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, USA), and in the development of energy storage worldwide.

Romania is a key area within REN INT to achieve this strategy, the ambition being to establish a sizable UPP portfolio in the country, composed of both solar PV (PV) and onshore wind (ONW) projects.

The Senior Project Developer is responsible to develop a portfolio in the area and will manage closely the execution of the assets in coordination with Operation and Asset Management department of TotalEnergies.
The position will be based in Bucarest.

Your activities :

Manage and supervise the development of a PV and ONW pipeline, from greenfield to commissioning.
Ensures

economic viability of each project

Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including development partners, landowners, local and relevant authorities, public entities, advisors, grid operators, electrical companies, EPC and O&M contractors...

Work along with high-efficient teams to coordinate all project aspects

Drives the progress of each project by leading all necessary internal & external steps in the process

Keeps himself/herself fully informed on energy sector, technologies, policies, local regulations, off takers and key industry players.

Preparation of tenders; energy auctions, EPCs and O&M.

Report periodically of all the progress made based on the defined work procedures and KPIs.

Regular Domestic Travels.

Candidate profile

Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or Business

Important technical & business background in renewable energies

Minimum of 7 years of experience in development of energy and renewable projects

Romanian and English mandatory, French more than appreciated
