Total Energies Lead PVV – Layout Engineer Jobs in Uganda
Qualifications & Experience:Engineering degree or equivalent.
15 years’ experience in petroleum & gas industry in projects, managing projects effectively at all life- cycle stages of project development (FEED, Basic and Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning) for the oil and gas exploration-production industry, both offshore and onshore.
Significant experience of more than 15 years in Piping, valves, pressure vessels and layout development discipline in Oil & Gas Industry.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Review the PVV disciplines engineering and construction documents prepared by the contractor.
Monitor the progress of the work performed by the contractor.
Ensure that all construction risks are well anticipated and reduced as much as possible by the contractor.
Control of the contractor field engineering activities.
Ensure the quality assurance record books are properly documented, maintained by the contractor.
Review and approve the PVV discipline deviations requests
Assess any requests by the contractor to deviate from quality control procedures or requirements and make appropriate recommendation to the Piping Valves Engineer/construction Lead.
Keep regular and good quality communication with his/her counterpart(s) on Contractor’s side and put in place technical meetings to follow
up progress, explain main comments, and provide guidance etc...
Liaise with the Welding Engineer, Corrosion Engineer as required.
Participate to the Procurement technical package preparation and to assist Procurement disciplines during all the purchase phases.
Provide assistance to Package engineers with review of possible change orders & planning constraints
Report on any problem encountered in his discipline to the Engineering Manager. Prepare the daily report in his discipline.
Involve the safety aspects of the engineering and report any anomalies noticed on site, when related to his/her discipline.
Comply with HSE requirements and to support and enforce the HSE Project objectives and directives.
