Qualifications & Experience:Minimum BSc or MSc degree in Geophysics.
Minimum 8 years of experience as reservoir Geophysicist with practice in the following competencies: seismic QC, seismic processing/inversion, structural interpretation, Time-to-depth conversion, well preparation, uncertainty analysis, reservoir characterization. Exposure to headquarter studies, affiliate environment and well operations. Experience in Overburden/Cap Rock monitoring is a plus.
Demonstrated team spirit, solidarity, good communication skills, commitment & efficiency, work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
At the heart of the Tilenga development, you contribute to the preparation of more than 400 wells, the follow-up of their drilling operations and the integration of the well results into a comprehensive Subsurface synthesis of the area developed by these wells.
In line with the Reservoir Management Plan, interpret the latest vintage seismic vintage reprocessed in 2023 to prepare the Well Statement of Requirements in close collaboration with the Operation Geology, Geology, Reservoir Engineering and Drilling & Completion teams (objectives, well trajectory, target, section TD, data acquisition) and follow the execution.
During drilling operations, work together with the Ops Geology, geologists, reservoir engineers and Drilling teams to safely
deliver the wells and achieve their objectives
Interpret and integrate the latest acquired data into a larger subsurface synthesis to keep on optimizing the reservoir development plan.
Apply the best practice in managing these data together with the Geoinformation team.
Contribute to the documentation and reporting required by the Company, the Partners and the Local Authorities (PRR, ARR, …)
Propose continuous improvements on the way the team (2G) works
Coach less experienced Geophysicists
Participate in the activities related with geophysics of the non-operated assets (Kingfisher)
Follow up the geophysical-related studies carried by the Technical Line in Head Quarters
