TM Consulting Head of Finance Jobs in Kenya

Our Client, a renowned brand with multiple business lines is seeking to hire a Head of Finance.

The Head of Finance will provide overall strategic leadership to the finance function,
enforce financial policies, procedures & processes and manage financial operations of the group.

Reporting to the CEO, s/he will oversee all finance, accounting and administrative functions including leading and motivating F&A team, budgeting; asset management, audit, financial management and reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Develop financial policies & procedures and drive compliance in the group.

Set vigorous internal control systems and ensuring compliance to system

Coordinate annual budgeting and regular budgetary control process.

Oversee tax and statutory compliance and liaise with relevant authorities to
ensure compliance to statutory requirements.

Oversee accurate and timely cash flow reporting and management.

Identification, management and mitigation of financial risks

Oversee timely payments of trade/ capital and operational expenses.

Oversee timely preparation of management financial reports

Prepare and present annual financial statements and coordinate external audits

Oversees goal setting, monitoring, review of performance and

feedback for subordinates.

Lead capability building for the team and mentor/ coach the Finance team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field. A Masters degree will be an added advantage.

Must be a Certified Accountant and member of ICPAK.

10 years’ experience in corporate finance with 5 years at leadership level.

Astute leader with demonstrable skills to operationalize strategy into action.

Agility to handle a variety of assignments sometimes under pressure.

Strong skills in I.T with good knowledge of accounting systems and MS Office.
