Job Summary

  • The Supply and Marketing Department Manager performs all activities of purchasing from initial requisition to invoice payment, evaluate and buy raw materials, products, and services while creating strategies to cut costs and Supervise logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.

  • It also develops marketing strategy by studying economic indicators; tracking changes in supply and demand; identifying customers and their current and future needs; monitoring the competition.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibilities include

  • Communicate and Work with stakeholders to establish viable, cost effective, and strategic sourcing objectives.

  • Evaluate, select, and successfully implement comprehensive procurements.

  • Establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures.

  • Evaluate and choose suppliers the company will do business with. This includes examining quality of product, pricing, and delivery time, then deciding which suppliers best fit company needs.

  • Supplier evaluation is a continuous project, updated with each contract and shipment to ensure benchmarks are hit and goods and services continue to meet required standards and timetables.

  • To keep evaluations accurate and comprehensive procurement managers attend trade shows, interview vendors, and visit supply plants/ distribution centers.

  • Analyze and compare financial reports and pricing proposals from several trusted suppliers before negotiating terms and prices to obtain the best deal for the company.

  • Training staff members to be knowledgeable about product quality requirements, how to determine when products are unacceptable, and what actions to take when quality standards are not met.

  • Monitoring contracts to ensure that the supplier meets expectations and invoices are approved and paid in a timely manner.

  • Making any required adjustments or changes to existing contracts.

  • Keep track of all goods and services ordered and received, and maintain accurate inventory records including details on price, performance, and delivery.

  • Supervise logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.

  • Organize
    warehouse, label goods, plot routes, and process shipments.

  • Respond to any issues or complaints.

  • Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.

  • Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.

  • Developing a pricing strategy that maximizes profits and market share but considers customer satisfaction.

  • Identifying new customers.

  • Supporting sales and lead generation efforts.

  • Researching demand for the organization's products and services.

  • Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.

  • Obtains market share by developing marketing plans and programs for each product; directing promotional support.

  • Maintains relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer- relations programs; determining company presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars.

    Job Requirements

    Education

  • BA/MA/ PHD in marketing and sales Management/ business Management/ procurement and supply Management/ leadership or any related field of study

    Experience

  • 10 years for BA, 8 years for MA, 6 years for PHD. Relevant work experience in manufacturing Industry is preferable/ at least 4 years in Managerial position
