Job Summary

  • The senior Investment and Risk Management officer is accountable to Investment and Risk Management Coordinator and is responsible to Carry out the continual risk assessment, investigation, analysis and assessment of risk, the design risk management strategies and processes comprehensive policies, procedures, implementation of strategies and processes which mitigate threats to the successful delivery of the organization’s investment and business plans, and desired outcomes.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning, implementing and follow up the investment and risk management activities;


  • Facilitating additional investments by controlling the corporate financial transactions and identifying the remaining balances resulted from the cash inflow and outflow transactions of the investment;

  • Recommending additional investment alternative solutions for an idle cashes which have been collected but not used for investments;

  • Performing activities related with investments; such as investing un used and idle cash in the best investment programs based on the investment policy of the corporate;

  • Searching for alternative sources of funds /financing for investment activities; this includes when and how the fund is needed and obtained;

  • Establishing good relationships with the banks and other financial institutions.

  • Consulting the corporate during the acquisition (purchase), merge or liquidation;

  • Following up investment profits and the profit decisions either to be used for additional investments or to be divided based on dividend policy (Share management);

  • Develop and implement the Corporate's risk management plan and strategy, communicate expectations and obligations, monitor and report on performance to improve the Corporate's risk profile

  • Identify and detect potential threats to brand reputation, financial sustainability, operational efficiency, workforce investments and safety to fully develop a shared understanding for the Corporate’s risk exposure;

  • Conduct or oversee the conduct of regular risk assessments and preparation of all documentation related to risk assessment, and reviews of standard operating procedures ensuring that recommended improvements are fully implemented

  • Deliver regular risk analysis reports to the Senior Executives Management, complete with actionable plans for avoidance or prevention of possible threats at all levels;

  • Design and anticipate risk minimization mechanisms;

  • Develop and implement insurance strategies and financing techniques to appropriately deal with any unanticipated losses;

  • Driving a greater understanding and appreciation of risk, and the implications of failure to respond appropriately to threats as they emerge, in a context where disciplines around
    risk management are still evolving to an appropriate level of sophistication

  • Creating a consistent and high level of risk mitigating practice across all areas of the organization as a key mainstream management obligation and performance expectation.

  • Establish professional networks and relationships across other jurisdictions to maintain currency of issues, share ideas and learnings, and collaborate on common responses to emerging and/or developing issues.

  • Provide expert advice, counsel and recommendations on risk identification, assessment, and management and mitigation matters to influence organizational decisions and initiatives.

  • Align the Corporate's risk management strategies and practices with respective Audit and Treasury directions and requirements.

  • Negotiate and approve contracts or service level agreements with external providers (e.g. risk management consultants, insurance brokers, etc.) to ensure optimized return on investment for the Corporate;

  • Selecting feasible opportunities for investment and financing of cash sources;

  • Making forecasts on cash sources and investments based on the existing data and information;

  • Following up the corporate’s dividend/ profit to be collected on time;

  • Performing other duties and responsibilities given by the coordinator.

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications Required

    Education

  • BA/BSC/MA/MSC/PhD in Finance and investment, Project management, Financial management, Risk Management, business management, Economics,

    Experience

  • 8 years of relevant work experience for BA/BSC degree, 6 years for MA/MSC and 4 years for PHD degree;

    Other Personal Attributes

  • having good experience in Finance and investment, Project management, Financial management, Risk Management Analysis, team work sprit, good ethical behaviour, good customer handling and serving approach skill, willingness to accept changes and implement it;
  • no prior disciplinary records, recommended or accepted for the position; accepting the given responsibility and being committed for overcoming; good previous performance history and working discipline;
