Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager supports store management and staff in achieving sales targets, customer service objectives, and operational goals through effective execution, coaching, and accountability.
The role provides leadership to store employees, ensuring high standards of customer service, operational efficiency, productivity, profitability, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Nature and Scope of Duties
Create and lead a high-performing team that drives sales and delivers exceptional customer experiences.
Provide strong leadership in sales generation, store operations, and human resource management.
Manage the store and its employees to ensure sales targets are achieved or exceeded.
Identify opportunities to increase sales and ensure effective implementation of sales-driving initiatives.
Support, model, and strengthen a customer-focused culture by creating an environment that is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive.
Ensure store presentation and visual merchandising standards are consistently achieved and maintained.
Communicate product sell-through performance and market trend insights to Head Office.
Handle store-level human resource, operational, and loss-prevention matters in coordination with Head Office.
Ensure effective staff scheduling and workforce planning.
Open and/or close the store efficiently and according to company procedures.
Maintain regular attendance and demonstrate full-time commitment to the role.
Perform additional managerial
duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a retail management environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
Good interpersonal, communication, and numeracy skills.
Ability to lead and manage a retail team effectively.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and operational requirements.
Strong attention to detail and ability to translate strategic direction into operational execution.
Computer literacy is essential.
Knowledge of retail computer systems and store operations.
Excellent English communication skills.
Bilingual proficiency is considered a strong advantage.
