Tiger Brands Risk Coordinator Jobs in South Africa; Support the Risk and Safety Department by managing behind‑the‑scenes operations, administrative tasks, and organizational projects. Implement systems, procedures, and policies, while monitoring deliverables. Act as the first point of contact and project manager for organizational tasks and events.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Environment Management

  • Manage development, execution, and communication of Reward & Recognition strategy and policies.

  • Investigate and report workplace accidents per Occupational Health and Safety Act and Workman’s Compensation Act.

  • Maintain LTIFR rate within national average for food manufacturing.

  • Support external audits (Alexander Forbes, SABS, SGS, KPMG).

  • Report monthly to the Risk & Sustainability Director.

  • Measure performance against Tiger Brands Environmental System standards.

    Facility and Utilities
  • Implement preventative steps for utilities across all sites.

  • Ensure contingency planning for utility outages.

  • Conduct investigations in line with constitutional and legal requirements.

    Safety Training
  • Ensure training courses are SETA‑approved and delivered annually.

  • Enable Skills Development Levy claims through approved training.

  • Advise and liaise with line management on disciplinary procedures.

  • Ensure physical and electronic support measures are in place.

  • Conduct employee vetting via Tiger Risk Control Standards.

  • Assess service provider compliance with PSIRA legislation.

    Security
  • Liaise with government
    departments, SAPS, Justice, and National Intelligence.

  • Investigate business‑related criminal activities professionally.

  • Appoint and manage security service providers.

    Risk Management
  • Protect business from sabotage, arson, theft, robbery, and malicious damage.

  • Maintain Tiger Brands Risk Control Standards through policies and systems.

  • Conduct continuous risk assessments and surveys.

  • Ensure employee compliance with risk standards.

  • Protect business against interruptions and insurable losses.

  • Audit and profile all sites annually per fixed schedule.

    Requirements for Appointment

    Education
  • National Higher Diploma in Environmental Health or qualification in legal aspects of Occupational Health and Safety Act.
