Tiger Brands IT Governance, Risk & Compliance Officer Jobs in South Africa; Support the effective operation of IT governance, technology risk management, and compliance frameworks. Maintain governance documentation, coordinate risk and audit activities, track remediation actions, and support cybersecurity awareness initiatives to ensure alignment with regulatory, contractual, and organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

IT Governance & Compliance

  • Support development and implementation of IT and information security policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Maintain governance documentation to support risk management, audit readiness, and compliance.

  • Coordinate periodic review and updates of policies and standards.

  • Track policy review dates, approvals, and exceptions.

    IT & Cyber Risk Management
  • Coordinate identification, assessment, and documentation of IT and cybersecurity risks.

  • Maintain and update risk registers for accurate reporting.

  • Track risk treatment plans and remediation actions.

  • Support preparation of risk reporting for management forums.

    Audit & Assurance Support
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities, evidence collection, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Track audit findings and remediation actions.

  • Monitor remediation progress and ensure timely closure.

  • Produce audit, risk, and compliance status reports.

    Cybersecurity Awareness & Training
  • Support development and delivery of awareness and training programmes.

  • Coordinate ongoing campaigns (e.g., phishing awareness).

  • Track staff completion of mandatory training.

  • Measure awareness effectiveness using defined metrics.

  • Develop training content based on emerging threats and audit findings.

  • Organise awareness initiatives and events.

    Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Liaise with IT, cybersecurity, risk, audit, and business stakeholders.

  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement for risk assessments, audits,
    remediation, and reporting.

    Requirements for Appointment

    Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Information Security, Risk Management, or related field.

  • Equivalent qualifications or experience in IT governance, risk, or compliance considered.

    Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance concepts.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity controls and awareness practices.

  • Knowledge of audit processes and remediation tracking.

  • Exposure to frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, COBIT (advantageous).

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

    Experience
  • 2–3 years in IT risk management, information security, compliance, or GRC role.

  • Experience supporting IT and cybersecurity risk, audit, or compliance activities.

  • Exposure to ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, or assurance activities.
