Job Summary
Provide independent, risk-based assurance and advisory services regarding the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the Company's information systems, IT governance, risk management framework and internal controls.
Support the Internal Audit function in evaluating information systems risks, monitoring compliance and improving the overall control environment through risk-based information systems audits.
Report directly to the Chief Manager, Internal Audit.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in identifying key information systems risks, including risks associated with IT projects and technology initiatives.
Evaluate and test information systems controls and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
Develop risk-based audit engagement plans and audit programmes for Information Systems audits.
Conduct Information Systems audits in accordance with approved audit methodologies, procedures and Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS 2024).
Ensure compliance with internal audit policies, procedures and professional requirements.
Document audit working papers, testing procedures, findings and conclusions accurately.
Prepare audit reports and communicate audit findings and recommendations to management.
Conduct audit follow-up reviews to assess implementation of audit recommendations.
Undertake ad hoc audits, special assignments and investigations as assigned.
Participate in the development of Annual Audit Work Plans (AAWPs) with emphasis on information systems risks and controls.
Coordinate documentation of audit findings to ensure recommendations are supported by adequate evidence and risk assessments.
Implement and monitor utilization of audit management systems, data analytics tools and other technologies used by Internal Audit.
Ensure audit assignments are completed within approved timelines and quality standards.
Supervise auditors assigned to engagements and provide technical guidance and review of deliverables.
Provide advisory and consultancy services across the organization on information systems controls, governance and risk management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Information Technology or an equivalent
qualification from a recognized institution.
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification is mandatory.
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification is an added advantage.
Membership of ISACA is mandatory.
Experience
Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in Information Systems Auditing.
Experience conducting IT audits, systems reviews and information systems risk assessments.
Experience working with audit methodologies, IT controls and governance frameworks is desirable.
Exposure to data analytics tools and audit management systems is an advantage.
