Job Description

Lutheran World Federation (LWF/WS – Ethiopia) is a registered foreign charity which has been operating in Ethiopia since 1973 implementing various development and humanitarian projects in different parts of Ethiopia.

LWF is currently looking and invites qualified candidates to apply for the following vacant position.

Duties and responsibilities

The Project Coordinator is answerable to the Program Officer of his/her designate.

Applying expertise in project management, implementation, follow-up, monitoring, evaluation and project staff administration is highly expected.

The ideal candidate will also:

Demonstrate commitment to the vision, mission, core values, aims and principles of LWF Ethiopia, including equal opportunity, gender sensitivity. Demonstrate strong team organization and community development facilitation and commitment to bring about positive changes.

Employment Term:

Up to December 2019 with extension for the following year

Job Requirements

Qualification:

Bachelor or Masters Degree in relevant academic background preferably in Sociology, Social Works, Community

Development, Rural Development or related fields from recognized University/College

Minimum experience of 6 years relevant work experience for Bachelor degree and 4 years for Masters degree.

Additional Requirements:

Excellent written and oral English Language skills,

Good skills in reporting and monitoring,

Excellent representation,

Experience in coordinating a project having Psychosocial and Livelihood components is very much advantageous,

Experience of working with refugees, other vulnerable populations, humanitarian assistance, international relations or experience with an international organization in related fields is advantageous,

Strong in working in close cooperation and coordination with partners and government offices including the refugees and host communities.

NGO Experience is highly appreciated
