Job DescriptionThe procurement officer have the following responsibilities:
Prepare a procurement work plan and regularly assess implementation against the work plan
Liaise with team managers to determine their goods and services needs
Monitor business trends and product availability to pay a reasonable price for products and services without sacrificing quality and/or delivery time
Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing and distributing goods and services and maintain stock levels
Provide a strategic, efficient and reliable procurement services that meets the needs of the commission while observing national procurement guideline
Ensure purchases are properly approved by the internal operations director and the commissioner
Manage supplier relationships and administer supplier contracts
Forecast unfavourable circumstances through analysis of data and prepare mitigation strategies
Organize paper-based and digitalized documentation of all purchasing related activities
Report to the internal operations director and/or the commissioner on undertakings, regularly or/and upon request
Undertake all other relevant activities assigned by the Director of Finance, Procurement, Property and General
Services and/or the Commissioner
Job Requirements
Education and Experience]
TVET Certificate level II / TVET Certificate level III or College Diploma in Accounting, Business Management, or Related fields
A minimum of 4/2 years of work experience in related field
Job Grade: III
