The Coca-Cola Company Control and Automation Specialist Jobs in Kenya;
The primary role of the Control and Automation Specialist is to maintain the plant and associated devices to their original installed state.

The specialist ensures plant availability and product quality at optimal cost without sacrificing standards.

The role also requires continuous improvement initiatives for cost‑effective manufacturing in a competitive market and coaching peers to develop technical skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Operational Support

  • Provide expert support during operations and problem‑solving, including shift‑based and on‑call assistance.

  • Guide and mentor shift teams on machine operation, fault‑finding, and response to failures.

    Planned and Routine Maintenance

  • Contribute to maintenance planning, execution, and optimization.

  • Ensure integrity and alignment of maintenance systems with regional asset care strategies.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and address issues using problem‑solving techniques.

  • Monitor conditions and communicate updates to the maintenance planner.

    Running Repairs

  • Conduct and support running repairs on equipment.

  • Complete administration and plan repair tasks if not resolved immediately.

    Problem Solving

  • Utilize appropriate problem‑solving methods and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Engage in situational and systemic problem‑solving as a functional expert.

    Housekeeping and Safety

  • Adhere to safety practices and conduct risk assessments.

  • Apply 5S principles and follow CCBA policies during housekeeping and work execution.

    Support NPD Implementation and Trials

  • Assist with NPD trials, ensuring asset readiness and
    adherence to procedures.

  • Document changes according to Engineering Change Management processes.

    Training and Development

  • Train and coach PA’s and Operators on asset care and autonomous maintenance.

  • Develop and update operational and technical standards and work instructions.

    Skills, Experience & Education

    Education & Experience

  • Degree in Mechatronics Engineering (preferred), Control & Instrumentation, or Electrical & Electronics.

  • 3–5 years’ work experience in Controls, Instrumentation, and Automation.

  • FMCG experience is an added advantage.

    Skills

  • PLC programming software training.

  • Problem‑solving skills.

  • Training, development, and coaching for technical teams.

  • Strong diagnostic ability to identify and resolve equipment issues.

  • Collaborative team player with focus on execution and technical standards.

  • Resilience and adaptability in high‑pressure situations.

  • HMI development/programming software training.

  • PC literacy essential – Microsoft packages.
