The Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency Driver I Jobs in Kenya ; The primary purpose of a driver is to safely and efficiently transport Agency staff or goods and or water trucking from one location to another

Job Specifications

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:

Driving vehicles as authorized;

Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;

Keeping up to date work tickets for vehicles;

Recognizing and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles;

Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;

Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles;

Preparing and submitting reports on transport;

Ensuring security and safety of passengers and vehicle on and off the road;

Ensuring proper mechanical working condition of the vehicle;

Ensuring adherence to or observations of traffic laws; and

Ensuring reporting of any incidents to police and/or the office immediately they occur.

Person Specification​​​​​​​

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

Cumulative service period of six (6) years’ work experience three (3) years should have been in the grade of Driver II or in a comparable position;

Minimum KCSE D+ (Plus) or its equivalent

Occupational Trade Test I Certificate;

Valid driving license category C and D free

from any current endorsements;

A defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA) or its equivalent qualification from any other recognized Institution;

A First Aid Certificate Course from St. Johns Ambulance or any other recognized Institution not more than one (1) year old; and

Proficiency in computer applications.
