The Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency Accounts Assistant II Jobs in Kenya; The accountants are responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating and implementing financial and accounting functions in the Agency. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.

Job Specifications

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:

Assisting in the collection of revenue;

Assisting in compiling data on payments made by the Institution;

Assisting in computing asset depreciation and verifying balances on each account;

Participating in organizing approval of payment documents, allocation of funds for the payments, and effecting the payments;

Dispatching cheques;

Managing the petty cash;

Keeping custody of accounting documents; and

Filing accounting documents.

Persons Specifications​​​​​​​

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

Cumulative service period of three (3) years’ work experience in the grade of Accounts Assistant III or in a comparable;

Kenya Accountants Technician Certificate final;

Part I of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;

Proficiency in computer applications;
