Job Details

  • The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is the world’s leading independent conservation organisation with a global network in over 100 countries.

  • Our mission is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which people live in harmony with nature.

  • We have been working in Zambia since 1962 organising our efforts across Freshwater, Wildlife, Forests and People.

  • In the Luangwa catchment (Muchinga and Eastern Province), the WWF has partnered with the Zambia Governance Foundation (ZGF) to build the capacity of 23 civil society organizations that will work together with WWF to implement its Freshwater Strategy.

  • WWF and ZGF has worked with the 17 civil society organisations to develop action plans to contribute to the conservation of freshwater, based on their own annual plans.
  • The CSOs have been implementing this work for almost a year and great successes have been recorded so far such as: tree planting initiatives, radio programmes that have educated communities about conservation and empowerment of communities to manage their forests sustainably, among others.

  • It is therefore seeking a creative agency to document CSO success stories, in form of a video documentary.

    Objectives of the Assignment

    Deliverables

    Working closely with the Freshwater and Communications team from both Zambia and WWF International, the creative agency will be expected to deliver the following;

  • A script for the video documentary (with guidance from the teams)

  • A 10 to 20 minute video documentary highlighting the successes of the CSOs for airing on national television and YouTube channels.

  • A 5 to 10 minute video for WWF and partner social media channels.

  • Overall, WWF Zambia is looking for a high quality product that can be used both locally and internationally. Internationally, WWF will show the video to its donor in the Netherlands, therefore the highest quality standards are expected.

    Key competencies

  • The creative agency is expected to have at least 5 years proven experience in similar assignments.

    Timeframe

  • The timeframe for this assignment is November to December 2020.
