Objectives

To establish and implement the strategy for business development and sales of the company, giving direction and leadership towards the achievements of the company’s philosophy, vision, mission, strategy, and annual goals and objectives, in line with the guidelines set by the company.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute business development and sales programs and plans to promote and ensure the company’s continuing success and growth in sales and new business areas.

  • Driving performance management and liaising with HR department in the implementation of the performance management cycle.

  • Promote overall direction and leadership and set standards for the Business Units.

  • Achieve efficiency, effectiveness and financial objectives of the company by effectively recruiting and managing a strong and productive team for business development and sales.

  • Guide and agree plans/budgets and targets, monitor activities and performance of Business and business development and sales Units in line with the overall corporate objectives.

  • Establish and promote effective systems for reporting and communications within Business Units and within the unit for measuring and monitoring business units and overall unit performance.

  • Foster a company-wide culture of excellence based on continuous learning and continual improvement and anchored on Telnet’s guiding principles of Customer focus, professionalism, honesty and integrity and teamwork.

  • Promote an enabling environment where employees are adequately motivated and ensure that the management system reflects the values of the company.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with major customers and others in public, government and business communities necessary for ensuring positive mindshare, and the company’s continued growth.

  • Develop and implement an effective succession plan for the team.

  • Lead and empower business development and sales team members for growth and profitability.

  • Understand technology trends and use case for customer needs to craft
    sales plans and develop solutions in conjunction with technical teams and SMEs.

  • Engage C-Suites for solutions and position unit members for sales and solution closure with customer.

  • Coordinate all sales, customer visit, proposal and quotation drafting and submission and sales pipeline.

  • Grow sales pipeline on a quarterly basis and ensure sales with adequate margin (minimum margin expectation) as agreed with management.

  • Coordinate business development and sales team interface with other units in the company

  • Responsible for delivery on key performance metrics as set by the company for the unit.

  • Responsible for business unit coordination, operations and any other strategic duties as may be assigned by the MD.

    Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 5 - 7 years work experience.
