Team Lead for CSSF Project - Community Engagement to Tackle Organised Immigration Crime in East Africa Jobs

Responsibilities


  • Ensuring high quality and timely delivery of the programme.
  • Oversight over the creation of key deliverables including reports, manuals,
    workplans, and budgets;
  • Budget management;
  • Regular communication and liaison with the client steering committee and key
    Government stakeholders;
  • Representing the programme through regular engagement with potential Implementing Partners and grantees;
  • Ensuring that funds are appropriately spent on agreed activities and projects;
  • Designing and implementing the research strategy.


    Experience and education:


    The candidate will have:

  • At least 8 years proven experience in senior roles/senior management for donor
    funded programmes (essential);
  • Experience remotely managing research teams (essential);
  • At least 5 years of working experience in programmes related to migration, refugees
    or engaging with vulnerable populations (desirable);
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the East Africa (desirable);
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with local communities and carrying out research
    on sensitive issues (with a preference for those with have worked previously with
    women and girls) (desirable);
  • Knowledge of and experience with HMG and CSSF procedures and regulations
    (desirable);
  • Demonstrated experience in grants fund management
    for locally-led projects and
    activities of CSOs (desirable);
  • Previous work experience as embedded advisor to government ministries desirable.
  • A Masters’ degree or higher in International Development, Migration Studies,
    International Relations or equivalent (desirable);
